Penny and Mike’s Rockwater Wedding

Penny and Mike came from Calgary to say their vows.  They had a fabulous wedding at the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort.  There wedding day was very personalized in many ways, by finding vintage containers for the flower arrangements, making picnic blankets for the quests, beautiful tags for seating, and even a local accordion player was hired.

Kathryn, You made our wedding perfect with the amazing flowers and all the suggestions for baker, accordion players, make-up and hair.  You really went above and beyond being a florist.  We couldn’t have pulled off such a special day without you.  Thanks you for setting up the flowers too.  They were beautiful and we moved them upstairs after dinner and enjoyed them all night also.  Thank you Kathryn. I’m so glad we found you to be part of our wedding, you’re amazing!  Penny and Mike

Vikki and Brad

Vikki and Brad’s wedding took place at the Painted Boat Resort.  This busy and fun couple decided on a colour theme of ivory, yellow and greens.  Freesias, roses and kermit mums took first place for flower choice, with the always stunning, seeded eucalyptus as a foliage.

Fresh and Romantic Wedding at WCWL

Loving the colour combination of this wedding with peach, yellow, white and pink to create their fresh yet romantic event.  Their wedding flowers were planned completely over the internet and through phone conversations as the couple resides in Boston. Morgan and Mike tied the knot in June, 2011 in Egmont, BC at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge http://wcwl.com/

Spring wedding at the Painted Boat Resort, Sunshine Coast, BC

Thanks to Linsey Hull’s skilled eye at “Select Photography” www.selectphotography.ca  I am able to show you this lovely couple that “tied the knot” at a breath taking resort located in Madeira Park on the  Sunshine Coast, the Painted Boat  www.paintedboat.com.

I was honoured to design a bridal bouquet and boutonniere for this couple.  With spring in the air and green and purple as the colour theme the flower selection was green cymbiduim, purple tulips and purple anemone and a touch of bear’s grass pulling it all together.

Sophie and Dave’s wedding was such a pleasure to work on. Most of the planning was done through email and over the phone as the couple was coming from afar.    The colour theme was deep purple, light green, and white.  Seasonal flowers of white peony, white dahlia, green hydrangea, green hypericum and maiden hair fern were used.

Here is what the couple had to say =)

Kathryn, I just wanted to thank you for the incredible job that you did for me.  All the flowers were absolutely beautiful and I couldn’t stop smelling my bouquet all day!  The green bouquets were beautiful with my bridesmaids’ dresses and the boys loved their kermit mums (they were calling them broccoli flower which was funny).

Dave and I managed to take the large bouquets back to Vancouver without them wilting which was great.  Also, thank you Kathryn for putting in those peonies into the center pieces.  I loved the little flecks of purple, they were incredible!

Colour Blast

Unfortunately, for this wedding I was unable to beg, steal or find  any photos from a photographer, except for the first two, which are from the bride (thank you).  I did take some pictures of my own especially for your viewing pleasure.

The colours this bride chose were grand, fresh and bright.  Seasonal, affordable and striking.

Jen and Mike

Jen and Mike picked a simple colour theme of green and white with a touch of yellow.   They were surrounded by their loved ones and took over the Rockwater Secret Cove Resort for the affair.

As I got to know Jen over a short time period of emails and a consultation discussing her flower order it was clear that Mike was a lucky man.  What a wonderful way to start the wedding season with a couple such as this.

Salan and John in spring 2011

How wonderful pink can be!  Pink is everywhere this year, so sweet, so spring and so luscious.

You can’t go wrong with cymbidiums and roses no matter what colour you choose for your wedding flowers!
